Purpose
The Nurse Coach Association (NCA) is committed to fostering transparency, integrity, and ethical leadership within the nurse coaching profession. This Conflict of Interest Policy is designed to ensure that all NCA leaders and members act in the best interests of the organization and maintain clear boundaries between personal financial interests and organizational decision-making.
Disclosure of Business Interests
To uphold transparency, all NCA leaders are required to disclose any businesses, affiliations, or financial interests within the nurse coaching industry. This disclosure ensures that members, partners, and stakeholders are aware of any potential financial benefit leaders may receive through their professional endeavors.
Recusal from Decision-Making
In instances where a vote, decision, or discussion may result in a direct financial benefit to a leader or member, that individual must recuse themselves from the decision-making process. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Votes regarding partnerships, collaborations, or financial agreements that could impact a member’s business.
- Decisions that could result in preferential treatment for a business in which a leader has an interest.
- Any situation where a leader’s financial interests may conflict with the best interests of NCA as a whole.
Commitment to Ethical Standards
By participating in NCA as a leader or member, individuals agree to:
- Fully disclose any relevant business interests within the nurse coaching industry.
- Recuse themselves from discussions and decisions where a conflict of interest exists.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity to maintain the trust and credibility of NCA.
This policy is intended to promote fairness and objectivity while safeguarding the mission and values of the Nurse Coach Association. Any concerns or potential conflicts should be promptly disclosed to the leadership team to ensure proper handling and accountability.
